We're up for a gig at blackhole!No,not the one in space.Who in their right mind would make a gig in space?The place and map of the place would be here soon.The gig will be on 5th december.We as a band only get 3 weeks to prepare for this gig and if we play shit then don't blame us.This would be one of the greatest challenges the band would have to face.

From now on end,I'll have to impose a few stuff to make this gig a sucess and we all don't want to pull a shitty show like we did the last time.SO,I'm suggesting that every week,we'll have at least 3 practice sessions.Since we only have 3 weeks,we'll have 9 sessions.As we all know that even every week of sessions at studio would cost a fortune,I have decided to take the risk of having the session at my house.I may not provide you with the best equipment but a good musician makes the most cheapest stuff sounds good.Even if you gave slash salim's SX Les Paul,he would still play and make it sound great too.If we are able to play good stuff in my house,don't you think we would sound better at the studio?So,I'm suggesting that we'll practice on Mon,wed,friday.Since all of were shock of this news,we'll only start practicing this saturday at a studio not my house,If we are free that day,if not then we'll discuss a date.By Wednesday,I want a setlist.But the setlist have to consist of songs we have played before.I do not want to take the risk of playing new songs cause I'm just too good looking to be playing bad.I hope to have all the co-operation of the band members.

I'm sorry to inform you that we won't be playing for the proms as we won't have the right equipment for use.Not only that,we would also cause ourselves and Mr Naufal some problems,like getting equipments,transport and whatnot for the prom itself.Me(Azman) and Geliang had a talk with Mr naufal this morning about this and those were the problems that both parties were facing.As Mr Naufal show the schedule for the day,they were also not enough time for the band to play and if we do,just a song or 2 would be fit for the slot itself.Why would we want to cause ourselves the hassle of bringing in drums and amps for my house all the way to the hotel itself for just a song or 2?At the same time,Mr Naufal would need to fork out money on transport or have to look for someone for the transport and this will,again,cause both parties a hassle.So on behalf of the band,I apologise and thank you for voting and suggesting songs for the prom.

On a brighter note,we'll continue to play gigs in the coming future.Just stick to this blog and keep track of the updates on the band.Untill then,See you at Prom 2009!

Hello..
today went jamming at FAD studios..it's like a house! it is a house but it's not a house..
Jammed for two hours,in a 28 degrees celcius room..so hot..you're hot and you're cold you're yes then you're no.

Soooo,we played the setlist..but it's gonna change,it's gonna be a new set!
With an all new song!
We finished the new song just now..
I think it's better and nicer than the first one,

but..one man's music is another man's noise..
ever heard of that saying? i havent.
so we took about one hour or so to complete that new song.
It's called believe or believer or sth like that with believe in it.

Updates on gig!!!!

Okay guys and girls and my little pink bunny that hops around my room.THERES A CHANGE IN THE VENUE OF THE GIG!!!Its been changed to FAD studio at busorah street.A much better enviroment for big gigs.And no its wont be like beat merchants.Its almost the same as music garage but a bigger place.The posters havent been updated yet cause the band MINUS have backed-out from the gig itself and now they are looking for another band.So till then i'll update.

Boo!
This Arroe speaking.
Yesterday,20 february 2009,me,salim and fadhli went to azman's house to create a song.
So we tried and tried from 3.30 to 4.30 but only a short intro came out..then finally around 4.40,a riff was created,then a continued intro,then a verse,a pre chorus,and a chorus..Boom everything came out!
so now we have an intro,two verses,two choruses.
The song's not complete yet,but it'll be completed soon!
After the second chorus there'll be a hey hey part right? that sounded nice just now.
Soooo,when those parts were created,and we were playing,azman broke one of his guitar strings..we took the string out but at the same time,the tuning thingy came off and and a bigger problem occurred..slowly,all the parts came off.
Tried and tried and tried,but nothing worked,we were like walking in circles,coz we kept trying the same thing again and again..
So at 6.30,left his house coz nothing could be done.

Today,went jamming at peninsula,guitar77 for two hours..played holiday a couple of times..hell song once..the new song..and rock show and 1985.
Quite tiring.then walked around raffles city and azman and fadhli went off to somerset to hand over the money to the someone and me geliang and salim and idk what's the name of the guy went home.

Yes,hope the new song can be completed soon and won't turn out as a disaster.

so i thought of the nicks for ourselves.
since Arroe has the same pronounciation as Arrow,

lets nickname it to Arrow...so on and so forth.

Azman here,the 2nd guitarist from the left and right.Would like to thank every single one of you beatiful and handsome people that came for our gig on 30th january.We really really appreciate all of ur support.Without you guys,we would be really nothing but just a band that performs on the event and you guys gave us the spirit and confidence to give the audience our heart and soul in the gig even though its a short one.

I would like to really apologise about the venue.I know some of you were dissapointed with the venue and felt that u guys have wasted $5 to just hear us and not watch us.Im really really sorry.I didnt expect the venue to be at such place and neither to be at such prices cause I know some of u were used ur own pocket money on the tix.But I'll promise to you guys that were dissapointed,the next place would be a better venue.but the prices of the tickets i can't promise u that it would be cheap and neither it would be too expensive.
Better place = more expensive.

And to those who missed the debut gig of one way traffic.Don't worry,theres always the next gig.For that,I'll keep you people updated on any upcoming gigs.

The tickets still require us to sell 20 tix to make sure we don't play to an empty audience.But this time,it's no longer $8 anymore its $5 on pre-sale and door-sales @ $7.
Therefore,its better for u guys who wanna see grab a ticket from the member themselves as it saves 2 bucks and also help them selling the 20 tix faster
The venue won't anymore be at music garage but it will be at Beat merchants.To be honest,i've nvr been there before.One of the member rep says tat its something like a jamming studio but they have a stage or something for performance.Therefore,we might be performing with people facing directly at us.Example,Sally's rejex first gig.check it out on youtube and that might be kind of gig.but there might be a possibilty tat theres a normal stage there.The map of the place i would upload it in a short while.

Anywho,this are the changes if i do get any changes i'll update it here.So now.lets hope for the worse,and expect a zero audience so that eventhough we get exactly 20 audience we'll actually be happy cause we're expecting zero attendance.And i wont be updating till christmas,till then,see ya!

HELLOO!!
This is my 3rd post on this blog, i tink. Yeah! Arroe asked me to update as he's going out SOON. I hope i remember wad happened as im suffering from short-term memory loss. Okay so here goes nothing,

Well, Arroe, Salim, Azman and i waited for Ge Liang at interchange ard 2.30. So u shud noe who am i by now. Yeah, waited for him and he APPEARED out of NOWHERE! We were shocked, surprised. Okeh, lets cut the CRAP so he bought a drink and we took 171 to the Jamming Studio. Hahah, this is the first time im taking a Handicapped 171 bus. Laaa~ Reached the studio, ard 2.45, ANDD the surprising thing was tat the studio was OPEN! Yes, i said OPEN! WOW! Went in and found out tat Room 4 was occupied and they're ending only at 3. So we sat down and WAIT and WAIT and WAIT. They finally ended and so its OUR turn.

We buttered, i mean JAMMED:

Hahaah, and Ge Liang broke the drum stick provided by the studio. Hahhh! So we paid and Azman, Arroe and i went off to Mac first. Our usual routine after each jamming session. Sat down AND Arroe said he must go home. So im only left alone with Azman. Yeah, only the two of us, together, ALONE. Hahahh. I tink u guys do not nd to know wad happened after tat.

After a while, Salim, Ge Liang and Zahin came to join Azman and i. Lalaaa~ Watched them eat and eat while i was cleaning my Bass. Yeah and Salim treat-ed me an Apple Pie. Its a tip for helping him to buy his Double Cheeseburger for him. Sat down there, talked crap and we went off at ard 5pm. Azman and Salim went off to Riverside Sec to watch the OP Band perform, Ge Liang took a bus home and Zahin and i walked home. YEahh so this is wad had happened today.

Arroe and Azman and Ismady went to foooooooodcourt to eat and met up with Salim and Fadhli there.Talked and played PSP until 2.33pm,left the foodcourt and walked to interchange to meet Geliang. SHOCKING NEWS that Geliang told us,he havent learn both the new songs,victims of love and give'em hell kid..But it's okay,coz he said. "Should be can la i steady one wot.. Ha ha"
And so he did it,i think..or did he? or main hantam je? idk lah.

Fadhli ate his ice cream disgustingly..and in the end dropped it on the floor.

Today went jamming.

Mostly played Hell song.
Some rock shows.
And one with me.

Played right under the aircon,my eyes hurt.

One day,10th november 2008,they went jamming in a little cave with musical instruments.

Okay okay,Meeting time was 2.45
S. was waiting at the interchange since veryearly o'clock.
Arroe reached at 2.30pm and waited for the rest until about 2.50. LATE!

okay, SO 29NOV is the shining star competition(according to azman) ...its a one-off performance in fornt of judges in 5-7mins like tat.

Shd be sleeping rite now but thanks to someone's psp, im staying up late..
currently listening to some recordings of a jamming sessions which dated 22nd November 2007. the line-up was, arroe(singer), S.(guitar), azman(bass), nazrul(guitar), Zack(drummer). there is one part where Arroe forgot how to sing face down, its funny. Cool flashback though..=D

Then there is one from 8th November 2007. line up: Arroe(singer), S.(guitar), Zack(drum), Azman(guitar), reno(bass). Well the recordings cudnt be heard properly coz the bass is way too loud. but hearing azman sing face down, sure make me laugh my ass off. sorry =D

Then the first ever recording we made, not the first time we jam dating back July 2007.
S.(lead guitar), azman(singer/guitar), fadhli(bass) arroe(not sure if he is there), Zack(drum)
azman singing once again made me laugh my ass off...but the best part during the july sessions, we improvised and made our very own CHAN MALI CHAN, you guys still rmbr?..haha..funny..

i really have the urged to put up the recordings..haha, sure make your stomach, ache so badly
so wanna hear azman sing like he is having s*x, ask me personally..haha, joking2..

we really improve so much as a band,
from a group of stupid guys where we played songs on clean tone instead of distortion tone during our first few sessions, thinking tat it is distortion and where the drummer cant even have constant speed while playing a song, where the singer always sing totally out of pitch..TO A TOTALLY REAL PLAYING MUSICIANS, having improvisions of their own, trying to make covers sound better every session, have fun while learning our own mistakes and really making the band a nicer sounding band.

"From Zero To Something" is the best way to describe the band.

Playing 'with me' was my favourite,but Fadhli and Azman did'nt like it,coz,it was too boring for fadhli and azman did not learn the whole song.

As the drummer has been changed, it's due to bcoz zahin, you are quite bz wif your councillor and studies, we dont want to affect your stuffs and we cant wait till u're free, wich might be a long period of time, YES it's MY FAULT tat i didnt inform you..im v.sorry but you can be a sessionist if you want, during the sch hols? its fine with me, i know ur contribtions for the band and what we all wanted to achieve but maybe sch is alrd quite quite tuff for you the decision was made.

as for the bassist, its temporarily stated okay guys? if he can prove tat he can play wif us then, i'll consider him as the bassist of the band??

this might be the final change for the band coz we gonna start writing our own songs so i want it to be finalise...SO FAR only one song is ready to be played, lets play it on our next jamming session?

Today supposed to go and jam..but no Azman(he go zoo lah)
We did..but,dah susah susah go there,then no room..
tu lah,tak book early early.
So,we waited there for like,15 mins i think..then went out,then went in again.then went out again.
Then went to KFC coz i wanted to eat..coz i was hungry..yeah,i was hungry..long time never eat KFC. Don't know how long ah,but it felt like a long time. ah ye lah..Fadhli's gay!

Uhh,so, from KFC at chong pang there,walked to northpoint.
Along the way,Salim played some songs from his phone and Fadhli and him were singing with robot voice and robot looks..style ah. Then Zahin and I were like,we don't know these guys,and walked far in front(not that far lah)..they sang from beside the don't know what's the name of the place to northpoint..uhhuh. yeah..

Went back to 'rumah kite org sume' then met again and walked to safra.
walked and walked and walked until my leg pain,coz got blister.
Finally we reached that place but then still must walk some more..WALKSOMEMORE
Then met the don't know who people and played pool. Gerek mann..Fun mann..WOW mann
At first i sucked,but then i still suck now..nevermind,got skill.
I played till 7 pm,i went home first. No idea what time they left the place.
And,this was a day in the life of OWT..

I'M SORRY TO SAY TO ANYONE WHO READS THIS BLOG THAT OUR RECORDED SONGS HAD SOME TECH. PROBLEMS AND IS UNABLE TO UPLOAD ONTO THIS BLOG coz the file format is fcuking amr.

okay, so on 5/7, owt had a jamming session and it didnt go to plan....two of our members, shahril and fadhli, were unable to make it so a sessionist(reno) took over...i took over arroe place while reno took fadhli place....so we met and bus-ed to interchange then take 171 to sembawang cotage...then walk abit to Lee Kwong Seng Music Centre...we started at 3.45pm, setting up equipment took abt 15mins? and so we started..Over you, then when we die then over you and....oops, zahin broke his drumstick(which is a present given to him)..comotion, crapp ard and cont. with face down, 1985, punk rock 101 and...i wanted to play drums...coz a bit boring...then blahblahblah, cont. with songs again THEN SUDDENLY, THE RED LIGHT APPEAR...still we cont. for another 15mins and i tink we had to pay extra for it?..i tink so...then aft 1hr 15mins of loud sound, we went to mac, crapp there until 6plus then reno went to meet someone while me, zack and azman walk-ed home...CAMWHORE-D along the way, cant believe i have ten pics of me..and took some video then INSTEAD OF GOING HOME, we went somewhere behing the CC to take pics...U GUYS WANNA SEEE THE PIC, THEY ARE ON MY FRIENDSTER PROFILE, www.friendster.com/salimmm ....then was having fun then got alot of ppl, so feel paiseyy then we go somewhere under a block near opss then TRAGEDY STRUCK!! Azman's guitar string broke thanks to zack who tried to do a hand stand....the laugh laugh laugh and look at the time, IT WAS 1032pm!!...LORD OF THE RINGS!! then we went home..lalala....

It's Basically a 'policy' that requires the person following to pay a little amount to lessen the burden of the band when jamming, THE PERSON NEED NOT PAY AN AMOUNT OF $10 LAH!!, 10cent also can as long as there IS a LITTLE sum of money contributed...(GFs of members need not pay)
We are not forcing u guys following to abide by this policy but hey, losing ten cents while woching a band jams and listen to their craziness doesnt kills or make u poor...i tink its worth the ten cents u guys pay bcoz u get loads of stupid fun which u guys can't hear on the recordings...So I Hope U Guys Wud Understand This, after all, we are not tat rich...hehe..k thanks..

But people nowadays don't listen to local music as they think it that local music isn't that great compared to those international stars.Theses are the stereotypical kind of people we have in our country and thats why the s'pore music scene is hard to live and a quote from Rosli mansor himself "Never ever quit your day job for the sake of music!"

Hello salim here..so its 12:02am on my hp clock... i cant slp and im bored...too much caffeine intake today?? dunno larh

okay anyway, this post is about HOW WE GOT THE NAME: One Way Traffic...here
goes...ONCE UPON A TIME, arroe was sitting in a car wif his bro on the way to somewhere then i tink got
Traffic jam...so while waiting, he glance out of the window car and saw the signboard showing One
Way...his bro, i tink says this, "This is a One Way Traffic, we can't U-turn" or smth like tat lah..To Be
Confirmed wif arroe...then he, being a genius for the day, sms-ed me and i tink it goes smth like this(translated
to eng), "Hey, how about we name the band One Way Traffic" and i was like "woah..cool arh..can can"....

So thats how it happen...or smth like tat happens....and now the time is 12:15am...i took a long time to write
this out...so uh, currently sending to melvin my guitar line for my v.own song titled : This Letter/Left Me All
Alone....maybe i'll post the lyrics and hopefully i can have the song ready for YOU guys to listen to it...time
check 12:20am..so nobody to talk to, i feel so alone..shall not rmbr wad happen to me on 22may...F**K

Since so many complaint that the blog is nt updated and i dont know what to blog about.so i just talk about?what do i wanna talk about?well...i have REALLY nothing to talk about since i ask few people on MSN and they ignored my question.Hamba sungguh kecewa dengan hakikat ini.But nvm janji rock and im still updating ryte?so yeah...as time passes by manystuffs happen the good the bad and the worst.All happen to all the band members i must say,like having bad results and other personal stuffs.so all the best in lyfe people.

Since i dont have anything to blog about so im gonna get to Sarfina's question on "why must there be a singer in a band???"...i actually have no answer to that but due to my knowledge and i observe.The singer or Vocallist is the melody of a song which every song in the world has.Without melody the song itself would be very boring and plain.Lyke most people,hearing a instrumental song that has a melody may get boring after some time and would like to hear somebody talking instead.Thus,the singer or vocallist is needed!

YAY!...finally something to blog about....so yeah keep ur question coming in and i will entertain u guys!

HELLO!!!!!!!

today OWT (get this rite ppl, not OTW) had a songwriting session at the, uh..wads the name of that park eh...*thinking v.hard*.....AH!..NEE SOON EAST PARK...
It is a v.lovely park, but not a good place for couple to *ehem* becoz got alot of children there, must not influence them to do bad things...alrite back to the point

So me, azman and arroe met at KFC at 1plus then left KFC at 2:06pm(wow)...took the bus 806 blahblahblahblah,...reach alrd and FOUND OUT THAT THE BRIDGE HAS FALLEN DOWN!!!...damn, wanted to play on the bridge...anyway, found the PONDOK no.3 and sat there...azman took out his Epiphone=0...acoustic guitar (chey) and we started brain storming..blahblahblah, arroe doesnt come up wif a song but i gave him a task(muahahaha), while azman and me make the songs so after 1hr, my song was half completed and recorded by arroe...it sucks though....then blahblahblah until 6plus then we left the park....

SO IF U WANNA HEAR THE SONGS, ASK ARROE for SALIM'S half done song and ASK AZMAN for HIS song...

My name is Azman,the 2nd Guitarist of the band.That sounds cool.Well let's get back to business.Well like the precious post,I wanted some lyrics and songs if u have one which will contribute to the band here.The lyrics doesn't have to be a love song,it could be about war,the world or even ur neighbours dog.So I don't have any restriction EXCEPT FOR THIS PARTICULAR ONE WHICH IS NO SONG ABOUT SEX!This type of lyrics is commonly found in hip-hop and stuff.I want a song that could appeal to everybodyeven the cleaners in schools could relate to and the song doesn't need a m18 tag or mature tag or even any tag at all in tat matter.so i hope everybody is clear on the lyrics thingy.
Now we move on to the song part,a few weeks back,i went to this guitar clinic which was conducted by Mr Rosli Mansor(a great teacher and musician,i must say),when creating a song we need to remember the 3M,which is motive,mood,motion(i think, cant remember the last one but the first 2 are correct).Firstly,Motive,in the song it self,wat is ur motive in the song?is it about someone or some places which u like or imagine?...then its link to the next one which is the mood,what type of feel do u want it to be like?...like wonderful tonight by eric clapton which has this "prom night" kinda feel which u and ur date will be dancing together.then we move to motion which is the palce which we want our listeners to go to or imagine tat they are in the place tat ur singing about and everybody will be in lala land(hope tat wont happen in concerts).
Astagfirlahalazim...panjangnye post aku nie....Hope tat help!...i wanna be a music educator lah!

Good News: We are gonna make our own song!!! woohoohoo...tk leh angkat beb..so anybody wanna help us make our own song or got some lyrics in mind, TELL OR SEND YOUR LYRICS TO AZMAN!!!...

Bad News: the discussion i had wif the two guys is about having a new drummer, since Zack a.k.a Zahin has some BIG 'commitment' in the near future..so temporarily, we are searching for a drummer, who would want to play for the band and KNOWS HOW TO PLAY THE DRUM, pls tell SALIM,AZMAN or SHAHRIL...thanks...
